Orgelfrühling Steiermark

Maria Straßengel

The pilgrimage church Maria Straßengel, impressively situated above the village center of Judendorf-Strassengel, northwest of Graz, is one of the most important church buildings of the Austrian High Gothic period and a popular destination in Styria.

Known for its excellent acoustics, its spatial sound was recorded for the Vienna MIR program with over 2000 impulse responses and made available virtually. At the Graz Centre for Organ Research, among other things, a complete recording of Johann Sebastian Bach's trio sonatas was made using this program.
